Dallas Love Field Airport Modernization Project

Revitalizing Dallas Love Field Airport

(DALLAS, TEXAS) – Brandt provided the mechanical, plumbing and building automation system for the Dallas Love Field Airport Modernization project phased over five years.

This project involved the transformation of the terminal’s design, resulting in a 25% reduction in terminal size through the replacement of outdated spaces with modern, efficient facilities. The project’s centerpiece was the consolidation of the original three concourses into a singular, conveniently located concourse serving all airlines. Simultaneously, the check-in and baggage claim areas underwent redesign.

While the main lobby space experienced renovation, it retained the core structure and essence of the original design. Functioning as the symbolic heart of the terminal complex and a critical component of passenger processing, this space remained integral to the airport’s operations. In addition, the Love Field Modernization project more than doubled the amount of available airport concessions providing another tremendous benefit for Love Field customers.

This was a collaborative effort involving key stakeholders such as the City of Dallas Department of Aviation, Southwest Airlines, and Continental Airlines.
