Texas A&M University Health and Science Center
(DALLAS, TEXAS) – Vaughn Construction chose Brandt for design-assist mechanical and plumbing services at the Texas A&M University Health and Science Center in downtown Dallas, Texas.
TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY HEALTH & SCIENCE CENTER
Completed in 2019, this bustling 294,000 square-foot research campus is dedicated to shaping the future of dentistry. Featuring all nine dental specialties, the facility ensures students receive a top-tier education.
The campus includes a 255-space parking garage and nine different clinical environments with 297 operatories, including general practice, prosthodontics, and implant surgery. Moreover, it features state-of-the-art classrooms, student spaces, and offices.
DESIGN-ASSIST SERVICES AT TEXAS A&M
Brandt’s design-assist expertise significantly impacted the project. In collaboration with the architect and engineer, our team optimized the mechanical penthouse’s sheet metal design.
Key systems enhanced by Brandt’s design-assist services included laboratory and general exhaust, supply and return air, medical vacuum air, high and low-pressure steam, domestic water, nitrogen, oxygen, and nitrous oxide, reverse osmosis water, fuel oil, and natural gas.
What sets us apart on this project was our unique approach to design-assist. This approach combined innovative design concepts with practical construction solutions. From the initial concept development to the final construction phase, our team worked closely with the client to understand their vision, goals, and challenges. Brandt’s efforts on this project helped ensure the Texas A&M University Health and Science Center operates efficiently, supporting its mission in dental education and research.
