BAYLOR SCIENCES BUILDING
WACO, TEXAS
This project included a 512,000 sq. ft., four-story building with approximately 200 labs, 40 classrooms and 200 faculty offices. Brandt performed the pre-construction phase that included design review, value engineering, GMP review, schedule coordination, constructability analysis, and shop drawing coordination.
The building is served by the campus electrical facilities and the campus steam and chilled water loops. The mechanical systems included in this project were as follows:
• HVAC piping systems
• Reverse osmosis system
• Laboratory pressurization and environmental systems to include coordinated exhaust hood and supply air systems monitoring and control
• Air Handling and purification systems
• Stainless steel duct systems for corrosive environments
• Laboratory specialized gas and waste management systems
• Plumbing systems
• Storm water removal systems
