Brandt Cares | Back to School Drive
Brandt believes in building a firm community foundation for the areas we serve. To that end, each year we donate time and resources to a range of local charities to give back to our communities in concrete ways. As summer drew to a close this year and family thoughts turned to going back to school, Brandt joined forces with Community Partners of Dallas in an annual backpack drive.
Community Partners of Dallas
Community Partners of Dallas has as its mission: to ensure safety, restore dignity and inspire hope for abused and neglected children served by Child Protective Services in Dallas County. This year, the organization will offer school supplies, school uniforms and backpacks to 2,500 children who have suffered abuse or neglect.
Brandt Cares
At Brandt, we believe in the power of community. We worked in office teams based around U.S. military branches, we used a little local spirit to drive generosity. Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps teams “competed” to see which branch had the most spirit.
Team Marine won the day, led by team captains Christina Weller and Megan Pulley. They donated 220 backpacks … Ooh rah! In total, Brandt employees donated 534 filled backpacks to the Community Partners of Dallas back-to-school effort. That’s over 20 percent of the drive’s goal for the year!
Thanks to everyone for participating in the annual back-to-school backpack drive with Community Partners of Dallas! If you’d like to find out more about Brandt Cares initiatives, you can follow us on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn—or check out our website.
